Tiger II KuromorimineThe most protected production heavy tank from World War II. It was equipped with the most armor-piercing gun, but had an overloaded engine, transmission, and suspension, and was very heavy. Henschel worked on the hull from 1942, and the more technologically advanced turret was the second Krupp design for this vehicle. In long-range combat, the Tiger II's advantages in firepower and armor were overwhelming over all Allied production tanks. Due to its overly heavy design, overloaded engine and suspension, and the small number of vehicles built, the Tiger II was unable to make a serious impact on the course of combat operations.
